Inspired by the Southern Silk Road, also known as the Ancient Tea Horse Road.
This historic network of trade routes connected the tea-producing regions of Yunnan and Sichuan with tea-consuming areas across China, most notably Tibet. From the 6th to the 20th century, merchants traveled by foot and horseback, using pack horses to exchange tea for horses—giving rise to the tea-horse trade markets that defined the route. In a similar spirit, CHAGEE carries this legacy forward today, spreading the culture of tea beyond its origins, expanding from China to the global stage, and establishing its presence in Bangkok.
